An American business executive on track toward his C-suite dream job gets blindsided by an expatriate assignment to Paris where he and his family must now learn to adapt as he tries to satisfy an ever more demanding CEO and CFO.

SYNOPSIS:

David, an American business executive from Chicago, is expecting a stepping stone promotion on his way to his CFO dream job. Instead, he is sent to Paris with his family to become SVP Finance for Europe. The heat gets turned up when David’s European boss dies in sordid circumstances and the CEO appoints David president for Europe. David’s family meanwhile adapts to life in Paris with varying degrees of success. The CEO and CFO are working on a plan to spin-off part of the company and apply pressure on David to cook the books to increase the valuation and their payoffs. David must decide whether to follow along or do the right thing and resist which would put an end to his career at the company. David decides to take down the CEO and CFO and moves Avignon to write the great Franco-American novel
