DOWN FIRE
By Samantha Fair

GENRE: Romance, Drama
LOGLINE:

A rock star and his high school sweetheart navigate two decades of their relationship, facing personal and professional challenges as they strive to build a life together under the pressures of fame.

SYNOPSIS:

"Down Fire" follows the tumultuous journey of Elle Pearson and her neighbor Jax, whose bond is ignited by a shared passion for music. Beginning in 1995, twelve-year-old Elle and Jax form a band called "Down Fire," navigating the highs and lows of adolescence, including crushes, rivalries, and the pressures of performing. Their deepening connection is marred by a dramatic breakup involving Elle's other love interest, Baxter.

Years later, as they reconnect in university, their paths diverge once more—Elle heads to New York while Jax pursues his music career in Los Angeles. A decade later, their unresolved feelings resurface during Jax's Chicago performance. Elle, grappling with her on-again, off-again relationship with Baxter, eventually breaks free, focusing on her lingering love for Jax.

Their renewed romance faces media scrutiny, threats from Baxter, and personal challenges. Despite these obstacles, their bond endures, highlighted by a joyful wedding and the anticipation of a new chapter with Elle's pregnancy.

This sounds unique, Samantha Fair, but I don't know who the protagonist is from the logline. I think the ex is the protagonist, but I'm not sure. I also think the logline needs more details.

After ______ (the inciting incident/the event that sets the plot in motion), a _______ (an adjective and the protagonist's position/role) tries to _______ (goal of story) so/in order to ________ (stakes).”

The inciting incident can also be at the end of the logline: “A _______ (an adjective and the protagonist's position/role) tries to _______ (goal of story) so/in order to ________ (stakes) after ______ (the inciting incident/the event that sets the plot in motion).”

Hope this helps! I really like the poster! :D
