AKBAR: THE BOY KING

LOGLINE:

This animated series or feature for children is about the childhood of Akbar the Great, the Mughal emperor of India in the 16th c. The drawings would be based on historic Mughal paintings that illustrate the emperor's biography the Akbarnama. 

SYNOPSIS:

Akbar was born in a Hindu king's fortress, when his father Humayun, second Mughal emperor of India was being chased out of India by his enemy. Fortune tellers make wonderful predictions about Akbar's future, but the next few years are filled with conflict, adventure and betrayal as Humayun fights his way back to India, bringing artists back from Iran where he took refuge. Humayun dies after an accidental fall in Delhi, leaving the 13 year old Akbar as Emperor of India.
