Several of those contacts got me in the door at places like Millennium, Tyler Perry Productions, William Morris Endeavor and many others. I have also chosen not to work with people who I felt could not further my career. And let me assure you Virtual Pitchfest and a few others are listing some dubious producers on their website. If a person hasn't made a film in that past few years, then I would shy away from them. Buyer beware applies to anyone, even big names that will screw you at the drop of a hat or bad contract.
Every experience counts in achieving any milestone in life.
