Hi everyone. I'm a writer who just found about this website from another writer. Could someone recommend some groups to connect with in Florida? There doesn't seem to be a lot going on in my area. Thanks!

Hi Erika, Brandi and Dan. Thanks for your quick responses. I am in South Florida (Fort Myers Beach). It's just north of Naples. I do drive to Tampa and Miami if I need to. This town isn't necessarily a haven for creativity!
I would think that Miami would offer some opportunities for you. Also, by chance have you looked into Orlando? Another great option - although it's a long way off - is Atlanta. A lot of television is being produced there now.. Hope that helps. :)
Thanks for the add. Let me know if you ever get to Ft. Lauderdale

Expand commentNever saw this post so I'm just giving feedback now. Not sure if it's applicable, but I'll give notes as I'm watching it. Keep in mind, I'm going in with no information about this premise. Opening credits are cute, but takes too long to get your characters into place. The black bag with the word, "WITH" on it is up there for a long time by itself and I couldn't figure out why. Then I learned it was part of the titles that pop up. "Family Flavors" is in an odd blue for the color choice - I'd go with something that matches the one of letters in the text of Kid Kulinaire. The little girl is sitting on a bed coloring in a binder, then there's a wipe to a reverse of her OPENING the binder to color in it. "And now her lifelong dream is coming true" is narrated over the same of her coloring shot (should be a shot of her cooking, not coloring, to emphasize her dream) and we never see her face. Kinda odd. She says, "best chef in the world" Here, there should be a shot of whoever best chef that was with her. I say all of this for clarity purposes. By this time, it's 30 seconds in and I'm just now kinda learning that what kind of show this is and that the animated characters are starring in it with her…? Then I have questions - are they in her imagination? Are they not? These are all questions that should be answered in the first 10 seconds of the promo. "With her favorite chef leading the way"…who is he? Even if he's a fictitious character, quick do a montage of him on other fictitious cooking shows he's been on or restaurants he's opened. Who is Kid Kulinaire? Is it her or the chef? Not a bad premise, but just needs some work on clarity. Good luck!
