SYNOPSIS:
Completed in both script and book formats
A humorous family dinner scene displaying interactions between family members is artfully done to introduce the audience to the story's characters. This gives a false sense of serenity until an unexpected tragedy takes place in the next scene.
Gino and Cosmo arrive home from school and find that their families are victims of assassination by a rival crime syndicate. Fearing for their lives, they leave New York and head to Las Vegas seeking safe haven under long-lost Godfather Uncle Vincent.
On the bus ride to Vegas turmoil continues as the bus is hijacked. A gunman shoots and kills a woman attempting to remove her ring. Cosmo pulls out a thirty-two caliber Barretta and fires four rounds into the gunman’s forehead. This scene marks the beginning of turmoil in his heart in that he is no longer the innocent altar boy he once was.
Arriving in Vegas, they meet with Uncle Vincent who offers them protection and a home. Gino and Cosmo now begin their new direction in life under the watchful eye of Godfather Vincent. The years soon pass and in time they become major players in controlling the casino empire.
The bond with Uncle Vincent is destroyed when it is revealed that Uncle Vincent was responsible for the death of Cosmo’s brother Palo. Cosmo must now act against his Godfather. A twist of events follows Cosmo when an assassination attempt against him leads him to seek forgiveness from God and a new direction, in his life.
A suspenseful cliff-hanging ending scene shows Cosmo at the Hoover Dam confronting his Godfather about the death of his brother Palo. As Godfather weeps and begs forgiveness, Cosmo takes his gun and fires four shots into the head of his Godfather.
This time something has changed in that he has replaced the bullets with slugs. This act demonstrates his true transformation and redemption from the life he has led. Cosmo leans over the rushing waters of the Hoover Dam and drops his gun and diamond ring into the rushing waters as a mist slowly rises leaving Cosmo in a state of redemption.
