A timid stay-at-home Dad struggles to protect his family from an unhinged electrician after a negative Google review sparks his rage.

SYNOPSIS:

At a suburban house under renovation, teenager INDIGO comes home from school. Little brother JETT is asleep, but her Father, PEARCE, is missing. Suddenly, he mock attacks her, a test of the self defense skills she's learning online.

The Mother, YING, is in hospital comatose with Covid-19. DR. FOSTER calls with an update on her condition. We also meet Auntie MEI who is intrusive about Indigo's welfare. That night, the bathroom fan explodes, creating a fire hazard. Pearce phones KEPLER, an electrician, who quickly arrives for emergency repairs.

The next morning, Indigo injures her foot on leftover debris, leading Pearce to post a furious Google review with a bloody photo. Kepler demands it's deletion, his receptionist CRISTA threatens to sue and intimidating apprentice ROSCOE visits the family home – but Pearce refuses to remove it.

After Pearce's landscaper turns up suspiciously dead on the news, he receives a photo of Indigo's school from an unknown sender. Panicked, he calls 911, but an overzealous Mei visits Kepler and pounds on the door, where she is shot by him in self defense. Indigo returns home, unaware of any threat. Pearce is then taunted with a ring-cam video of Mei's killing. Cybercrime Detective HALE investigates, but Kepler and his colleagues deny involvement.

Indigo hangs herself after being tricked into sending nude selfies online by the assailant. Pearce saves her and she's hospitalised. Dr. Foster calls, saying Ying had an attempted visit from someone named DANI. Pearce researches online, learning that Dani is Kepler's accountant – a recluse traumatised by childhood bullying due to a bleeding disorder, Pearce's review having triggered his psychosis. Dani uses deep-fake tech to lure Hale into a Swatting incident, where he's machine-gunned to death.

Police search for Dani, while a Cop car is stationed outside Pearce's house. Dani kills the Cop and enters the home, but an expectant Pearce has set a trap. Dani is electrocuted, but revives to subdue Pearce and attack Jett. Indigo, having fled the hospital, bursts in and uses her self defense skills to restrain Dani while Pearce kills him.

One week later, a recovered Ying returns home. After a rude encounter with a FedEx driver, Pearce receives a cellphone message asking "How would you rate our service?" with 5 blank stars. As Pearce ponders his rating, the screen cuts to black.
