When corrupt Social Workers and Dirty Detectives break up families to sell their children to human traffickers, a wrongfully incarcerated single mother must battle a world of crime, corruption, and deceit from behind prison walls to regain her freedom, and to find her children.
SYNOPSIS:
MILLICENT "Mill" BROWN is not the perfect mother, as she rents out space in her Chicago home for drug deals and other vices. Of course, she must keep this part of her life secret when a DCFS officer named MRS. ROSS drops by, saying there was an anonymous "tip" about an unsafe environment for Mill's two young children. Mill is humble yet agitated and embarrassed as Mrs. Ross grills the young mother. Mrs. Ross informs Mill that she will drop by frequently for observation.
However, Mill can't turn down an opportunity to make easy money shortly after the DCFS visit and lets a neighborhood drug dealer use her apartment one night. A deal goes wrong, and a friend turns out to be an undercover cop. Mill is arrested and watches the director of DCFS, Mrs. Ross, take her children away. While Mill gets time in prison, Ms. Ross starts orchestrating the placement of Mill's two children. However, Mrs. Ross is not looking for the best temporary homes; she is looking for the highest trafficking bidders.
Mill finds herself slipping further into the prison system and decides she must play and manipulate this world of high-crime politicians and dirty cops in order to see her children again. Will Mill be able to expose this corrupt system, or will Mrs. Ross continue to do what she does by filling the pockets of high officials with money and bodies?
