SYNOPSIS:

David McDonald has been chasing his adoptive family’s love and affection for years. Ever since the will of the old patriarch Robert Hodson revealed that he saw David as much as his own son as he did Anthony, his biological child.

Anthony never was able to get over it, and is now determined to not let David have anything at all.

But Anthony’s daughter Jenny has always been close to David, throughout summer holidays, throughout late night adventures, throughout their entire upbringing together. She has other ideas for how the family drama should play out, so she takes David by the hand to finally claim his long lost inheritance: a beautiful cottage on the Irish coast.

They spend their best summer yet together, planning, dreaming… and falling for each other.

But Anthony Hodson is nothing if not vengeful, and he will not rest until David is left with nothing. He fights the only way he knows how to: by throwing money and influence at the problem.

In the wake, he loses everything, as Jenny binds herself to David, forsaking her privilege and living a downtrodden existence by his side.

It takes the emancipation of an unlikely ally to finally get David his share of love and acceptance, and the cottage of dreams in the Irish countryside can be his and Jenny’s.
