Susan Lerner is a screenwriter and playwright based in New York. Her screenplays received accolades from the Austin Film Festival, Cinestory Foundation and Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards, among others, and she is a Stowe Story Labs alum.
Playwriting is her newest writing passion. Her ten-minute play, A Meaningful Life, was selected for the AMT New Works Summer Reading Festival in NYC and awarded Commended Status by the Jewish Plays Project’s Ten Minute Play Festival. Her short play, Morning Coffee, was selected for Playfest 2024 by Soapbox Stageworks Theater in Monterey, California.
Prior to writing scripts, she was a corporate lawyer and author of short stories, two novels, and works of family and corporate history.
