When a dinner party with old friends takes a deadly twist, a former actor-turned banker learns he’s their sacrifice to an ancient cult, whose goal is no less than to cleanse the earth of humanity.

SYNOPSIS:

Marc's been at a small dinner party with close friends from college, all of whom, including the host (his ex Melissa) have moved to the deep suburbs. When some tensions arise between Marc and Melissa's husband after Marc learns that Melissa attends her husband's church, he decides it's best for him to make the four-hour drive home now, rather that exacerbate things.

Forced to take unfamiliar back roads because of a storm and subsequent accidents, Marc quickly finds himself lost. Melissa calls him to talk him through his trip and to keep him company. As she dives into their tricky past, strange things start happening to Marc on the road, including being pursued by a mysterious black car.

After being driven off the road, Marc flees into the woods, only to find a church...and Mel's husband...waiting for him. Brought into the church for shelter, Marc learns that Melissa, her husband and all their friends, have been planning this: Using Marc as a horrific sacrifice to cleanse the earth, leaving them as the founders of a new society.
