A handsome young man kidnaps teen girls of wealthy families for ransom, as per his criminal parents, but the victims never return, until the one girl he takes home to mother turns out to be different--the question is whether or not the rogue will turn his back on his destitute parents and younger sister, or will he deceive them for the life of his victim?

SYNOPSIS:

For as long as he could remember, Shakespeare's mother and stepfather never had the same occupation as everyone else--they got their money the easy way. And with Shakespeare being a handsome young man, groomed to be debonair and suave, locating young girls for ransom has never been an issue. New town, new look, and new name, and new flashy sports car, it's a cakewalk. And with the words of his mother and stepfather, the girls' parents have endless amounts of money and will provide anything necessary to retrieve their young daughters. What Shakespeare doesn't know is the reason they are never caught is because the girls never return home.

The girl he has captured from his latest "smash and grab," Valeria, seems different and somewhat akin to him. By the time he finds out the scheme of rubbing her out, by coming across an old shack he discovered following his stepfather, and the dead body of their latest victim, violated and tortured to death in a dirty old tub, his time to save her is extremely limited. With the clock's ticking growing louder, he must first discover a way to break into the room containing her and remove Valeria's chains, sneaking her out of the apartment. However, when his kid sister sees the attempted escape, his parents are alerted and the chase is on.

An intermittent phone call to Shakespeare alerts him that should he not return the girl, a terrible "accident" will befall her parents. When Valeria attempts to call and warn them, there is no answer. Sneaking in through the backway and entering the house, it appears untouched with no sign of her folks. Through a stream of tears, Valeria suggests they go see her Uncle Diedrich for help across the country. Airline tickets seem impossible with unacceptable wait times. So they determine the easiest way is driving the backroads across the country.

To survive, the two must rob small stores and dodge their predators. After several close calls, the hammer falls, the chase is on, and his parents' car bursts into flames, he becomes the caregiver of his kid sister. When they meet up with Uncle Diedrich, they discover Valeria's parents are also requesting his assistance, in an effort to locate their missing daughter. When Shakespeare asks why they didn't notify the police, but traveled from California to Jersey, he discovers they do not particularly get along with the law. The majority of their money emerges from criminal behavior of the Mafia style.

Of course, Shakespeare becomes gets a new name and a new job working for Uncle Diedrich.
