Mi casa is definitely not su casa. Maeve Sullivan tries to live it out in Southern rural Spain with little knowledge of the culture and more than a handful of Irish urban middle-class expectations.
SYNOPSIS:
Maeve Sullivan pushes on with retiring to rural Southern Spain even after her husband's untimely death, to escape her overbearing daughter and grandchildren. Her Duolingo Spanish and weekend supplement knowledge of Andalusia do not prepare her for discovering someone else's granny in the granny flat of her sunny home. Maeve's Spanish nemesis Carmela is not going to pack up and go, and a cultural cold war ensues between the two women, even involving their unbearable families. As this backfires spectacularly, the women have to work together to free themselves of their offspring, and an unholy alliance blossoms.
