An animated horror-comedy from Troy Comics creator Michael Derry, following nice-guy Frankenstein’s monster Frankie and his found family of supernatural outcasts as they navigate the everyday horrors of modern life at Frankie’s Place, Silver Lake’s hottest monster bar - blending camp, dark humor, and sharp social commentary in a world where the real monsters aren’t always the ones with fangs.
SYNOPSIS:
If "Scooby Doo" is "Beverly Hills 90210," then "Frankie's Place" is "Melrose Place." Frankie, a Frankenstein's monster, his ex Bianca, and their business partner Chuck, a vampire, are co-owners of Frankie's Place, "A Safe Space For Monsters," and the haunted apartment complex behind it. Residents include Jimmy, a newly out, werewolf bar-back, Diego, a blue, valley-boy demon bartender, a perky witch named Tammy, and a revolving door of colorful creatures. The action and dialogue are fast paced, sharp, and funny. The humor is biting, satirical, and occasionally gushing blood. There are soap opera storylines with our characters falling in and out of love, bed, and their own skins. These creatures may be undead, Satan's spawns, but they are all looking for love, connection, and a place to belong.
