A couple of truck drivers battling against the odds and an unscrupulous haulage Boss in cahoots with a vicious Biker gang involved with people smuggling.
SYNOPSIS:
THE ROAD TO HELL follows the lives of two truck drivers twenty years ago. It depicts what the drivers had to endure and the lengths they would go to in order to survive in the haulage business. There is a humorous friendship and comradery between our 2 protagonists and their other colleagues. But there is also betrayal as they both seek the affections of one woman.
Set in South East Kent, England at a time when taxation on trucks and fuel were crippling the industry. An unscrupulous haulage boss and his rogue driver and fellow antagonist takes advantage of the current situation, and is seduced by the thought of big money involved in human trafficking. Things get out of hand as one of the drivers is duped into smuggling migrants across the Channel, resulting in the main characters coming together in a conflict at a large quarry that ultimately ends in a series of tragedies.
