SYNOPSIS:

this is not verbatim what I have, it’s just a rough draft of my synopsis theme is coming of age During what is supposed to be the best summer break of all, Dawn Langston, a girl with looks and smarts from the suburbs is involved in the disappearance of her best friend and the murder of her best friend’s step father. Her mother and father recently landed jobs requiring them both to travel out of the country, leaving them with no choice but to send Dawn to live with her mother’s brother until her trial is over. Subsequently her irresponsible and alcoholic uncle lives in a rough neighborhood. Through Dawn’s story, we meet her best friend Raina a runaway teen looking to escape her troubles back home (who meets Tyler and is taken under his wing), Cash, a bullied teen looking for a way out of the rough neighborhood while he takes care of his disabled mother who lives on the same block as Dawn’s uncle (who unknowingly participates in the assassination of a kingpin thinking he will no longer be bullied and get the money he needs for his mother’s surgery) and Tyler, a star basketball player with pro league potential, who is also the son of a kingpin recently killed, being forced by his mother to take over his father’s drug empire. Throughout the series we follow these teens as they form new friendships amongst each other and rely on old friendships that will bring love, hurt and greed into the picture. We grow with these characters in their task to get what they want. They think they can handle adult hood but are in for the ride of their lives.
