Maria Callas struggles with issues of self-esteem, her unsupportive family, and forbidden love while rising from obscurity to become the "Voice of the Century."
This is a well written logline and sounds like it could be a really interesting story! Don't forget to share your knowledge and comment on some other writers loglines.
This is a good logline that gets everything across, although there seems a slight clash between "Famed opera singer" and "while rising from obscurity" as you can't be both famed and obscure. (I do know what you mean, of course!)
As "How famed opera singer, Maria Callas struggled with... to become" would be past tense and not as immediate, I wonder if it's worth considering cutting it down to just the snappier:
"Maria Callas struggles with issues of self-esteem, her unsupportive family, and forbidden love while rising from obscurity to become the "Voice of the Century."
as "to become the 'Voice of the Century' indicates in itself that she's famed - just for anybody who doesn't recognise the name.
