SYNOPSIS:

SERIES SYNOPSIS: Growing up poor, bi-sexual, artistically inclined in the ghetto of the Bronx, That’s right NYC. It isn’t the most glamorous of lifestyles, but what do you have to lose after you are misled, and your existence is always questioned due to the patterns that were taught down from generations? Step off the train and into the Shoes, or Nike Air Jordan’s in this case. This Puerto Rican/Dominican hybrid, that is Ray Santiago. He is super talented with acting, singing R&B, and dancing hip-hop. We all know it takes more than just talent to make your dreams come true. So when the notorious “Heartbreakers'' competition decides they are going to choose a winner from this concrete warrior's hometown, “The BX'' AKA The Bronx, he soon finds himself in Hollywood dealing with adversity. To top it off, don’t forget the stigma that is brought upon him in this new opportunity, no one has ever seen a celestial being shine as Bright as Ray. No one can do what he can do. This ambitious hustler takes on substance abuse, drug dealing, and a near death experience after an overdose due to the family pressures. You get to see how a star is born from the trenches. The show opens up this series with a concrete rose in the middle of the S&M drug world. Sex, drugs, and deceit rules this town. Then in a flash we start this story at the beginning. A young male clinic, our new found hero sits nervous and is dealing with the inner guilt he feels for his actions. Life weighs heavy on ray but is giving some relief after a quick STD screening. This celestial being that shines brighter than the sun still can’t escape his confrontation with sandy, his EX. This soon to be legend will have to confront not only love relations, but the doubts, and falsehoods of his not so functional fundamentally family. From his thief of a cousin that so happens to be a “dike” to Gram AKA Ray's grandma that doesn't really believe in his dreams but comforts him by telling him he can achieve his dreams anyway. Even with his heartache for his sister Vicky that’s dealing with domestic violence. Also we can’t forget about The corruption in the American judicial system that is highly involved in general curses. At the end of the day that can’t even stop this driven papi chulo from making a name for himself in a town where ethnic BIPOC, and Latinx talent is not considered or ever really given the equality they deserve in this industry. That stops now. As this innovation of a series progresses, We get an in depth look of the ancestral lineage, from Ray’s parents, and who they are. What led them to sell drugs in the first place, why dad constantly is cheating, and leading a so-called family man to hustling. This is all triggered reflected in ray through flashbacks psychologically; through his interaction in his new found elite Hollywood star life.
