Can two Queens rule one hive? In this throwback to 1988, Sean- an impulsive young
lady from upstate New York - experiences a startling coming of age once her older sister makes a choice that leaves them vulnerable to a powerful sex trafficker.
SYNOPSIS:
A fight at the end of the school year results in Sean spending an uneventful summer in
the slow town of Forest Mississippi with her strict grandfather- Roosevelt. On her last
night in Mississippi, her older sister (Tina) takes Sean and a newly acquainted cousin
(Chris) to the movies in Jackson for her 14th birthday. Unable to secure a taxi- and
without the modern convenience of cell phones and Uber- they are racially targeted
while walking through a predominantly white suburb of Jackson, MS.
Sean is going through spiritual changes that she doesn't understand. She comes from a family of lucid dreamers. Sean must learn her gift, overcome her anxieties and find a way to save herself.
This is a powerful coming of age, supernatural, thriller with themes of:
