WINGMEN
By Jesse Burns

GENRE: Romance, Comedy
LOGLINE:

Wingmen is the story of a former party animal who must protect his low brow reality TV show from a sociopathic corporate stooge, a scheming secretary, and his own self-destructive personality. It's as if The Hangover collided head on with Bridesmaids

SYNOPSIS:

Shawn Flaring is a desperate man. Dealing with his last unemployment check, he decides to create a new reality TV show that will land him the 'big break' he's always dreamed of. Utilizing his outgoing charm, he enlists the help of his roommate Bill and four younger associates to film and exploit their misadventures.

In the middle of Shawn's 'big pitch' to executive Bradley, office secretary Tabitha eavesdrops on their conversation. Later that night, during a shooting, Shawn discovers that Tabitha has plagiarized his idea while talking to a group of girls. As it turns out, the girls are part of Tabitha's own project titled "Winggirls."

Incensed by the sheer audacity of her actions, Shawn and his crew follow Tabitha and her entourage over to another club. Intent on showing her up, Shawn procures some cocaine in an attempt to get his own wingmen to be more sociable. This backfires as both groups mix it up and take off from the club - forcing Shawn and Tabitha to join forces and take off and track them down.

The newly minted group stumble to a bridge where one of them tragically jumps off the railing in an ill attempted dare. Arriving at the worst possible time, Shawn attempts to smooth things over with everyone involved, only to be shunned when his own obnoxious personality takes over.

In mourning, Shawn visits the same bridge the next morning. Tabitha shows up shortly after to console and convince him he needs her. Initially agreeing with her, he is taken aback by her demands for a change in the show's premises and an initial date. Tabitha later phones Bradley to tell him that they are not going to be using the death of Shawn's wingman as a marketing tool and will delete the footage. Iin a rage, Bradley sends a post-op transgender to Shawn's house in order to blackmail him - only to be taken aback when he receives a phone call from Bill. Braley is still successful in his blackmail as Bill sends the footage over.

On their date, Tabitha learns from her babysitter that a stranger is trying to break into her place. Shawn follows her to witness the bouncer from the club on the ground knocked out cold. During Shawn's interrogation, the bouncer commits suicide. Soon after, Shawn pulls out the bouncer's cell phone to find out Bradley is calling. Shawn answers the phone and learns of Bradley's intention to send more thugs his way.

It's only fleeing from Bradley and his goons that Shawn learns a good wingman is more than just going out and having a good time, but more about helping out friends improve their lives in a more positive direction as the "Wingmen" and "Winggirls" merge and form the new reality TV show as "Wingcrew."
