After a lifetime of reading, writing, and drawing comic books and a career as a writer, promoter, and performer in Pro-Wrestling, Steve excels at finding the human element in BIGGER THAN LIFE characters and stories. Whether it’s finding the right angle to present the humanity of a superhero, or extracting the hidden romance out of something as brutal as sports, Steve is your guy to find that angle!

With KINGS OF THE RING, Steve has weaved a Game of Thrones-like soap opera based on the behind the scenes power brokers of the Pro-Wrestling industry in the sex, drugs, and muscles era of the 1980's, including culling out a deeper story of a Son’s lifetime of resentment towards his Father which manifests itself as changing an entire industry.

With HERO, Steve has put a new twist on the popular ‘Superman-like’ figure by turning into an obsessive romance along with an analysis of a society’s relationship with their heroes and celebrities, and how divided, tumultuous, and tedious that relationship can be, when the element of ‘instability’ is oh so present.

I don’t write “one man and his gun saves hostages” type stories, I prefer larger complex worlds, juggling multiple characters, locales, and weaving plotlines into one giant puzzle. I like to push the envelope and challenge conventions and tropes. My work reflects this, and I’m used to working in a live environment and writing on the spot during live performances.
