Widowed and retired, the sweet and helpful elderly Mrs. Kane
he no longer expects from life but death.
Living alone in a simple house outside town and far away
of her children and grandchildren, she ends up taking in a head of the
traffic shot and, by hiding him from the police and helping him,
acquires the bad guy's trust. When he dies, it's
raised to the status of new leader of the criminal faction that
he headed. The new function gives it a breath of life and
little by little, she assumes the new role with
competence, boldness and fearlessness, becoming one of the
