Despite having nothing in common, the young women Natasha and Mary Ellen are great friends. While Mary Ellen is naive and simple, Natasha is liberated, smart and well lived, despite the young age. When Mary Ellens's cruel and alcoholic father is murdered, suspicions fall about Mary Ellen. Natasha helps her friend to assume her own identity (clothes, behavior, etc), so she can run away until the police finds the real killer. On the run, Mary Ellen will have to assume a behavior that is not hers in order to dribble the police and everyone who wants to harm her, while the real Natasha has Pedro, the boy who never declared his love to Mary Ellen, to discover the real killer. During the investigation, the two of them end up falling in love.
