A grieving Black detective, after his son is murdered by corrupt cops, makes a Faustian pact to transform into a vengeful supernatural vigilante—risking his soul to purge systemic injustice, but threatening to become the monster he hunts.
SYNOPSIS:
Hellhound is a supernatural thriller rooted in today’s headlines. When Detective Jeremiah Talbot, a respected Black cop in Portland, loses his teenage son to a racially charged police shooting, his faith in the system collapses. Consumed by grief and guilt, Jeremiah stumbles into a deal with a mysterious Bartender who offers him vengeance at a terrible cost: each transformation into the monstrous “Hellhound” burns away pieces of his soul. As Jeremiah hunts down corrupt officers tied to a secretive ring of power, he becomes both a folk hero and a feared beast — a symbol of justice to his community and a weapon of terror to the establishment. But when his crusade endangers those he loves and reveals a conspiracy reaching into city hall, Jeremiah must decide whether redemption or damnation will define his legacy.
Fresh, provocative, and unflinching, Hellhound blends the emotional grit of Fruitvale Station with the supernatural spectacle of Candyman and Spawn. It explores systemic racism, grief, and the price of justice through a genre lens — a revenge saga with the soul of a protest. Written from personal experience and the generational expectations passed from father to son, Hellhound is both a searing social horror and a crowd-pleasing genre film poised for franchise potential.
