LOGLINE:

A military-researcher who spends decades in a solitary lifestyle returns home but only to be halted by the same peace he flees from.

SYNOPSIS:

Jacob Perry is a-60-year-old white military researcher who left the republic of South Africa for a lonely exploration in 1985 after an altercation with his wife. However, after decades in the jungle, he finds his way back into the country the same day apartheid flag becomes a forbidden fruits for public display. Things have changed- his wife and property could not be located. He is strange to the unification between Blacks and White South Africans. He embarks on a search-mission for his family but everything including streets, towns and cities has been renamed.

Meanwhile, during his wandering, he inadvertently meets with a large family of Barrister Roy and wife Refilwe Kate who after hearing his ordeal promise to trace his family. The happily married couple lives with Pieter and Susan Ntando- their two children; Sandra Adaobi- their foreign national housemaid; Gogo Mashiane-the mother-in-law; and Aarav Patel- their Indian security.

Hence, Professor finds it difficult to adapt to the new life of the different nationality under one roof, and despite the family’s effort to fit him in, he always involves in various mischiefs. This gets worst after discovers Roy to be his son. He Mr Jacobs always the conflict sponsors which the family will have no choice but to resolute. He most of the time instigates the conflict by instituting some of the apartheid abolishes the law he believes can only survive on into the family.

Meanwhile, after several grave incident that go beyond scolding, humiliations, and rejections to him but nearly land him in jail, he accepts to adapt to the new transformation but it’s too late as he unfortunately finds himself in a greater skirmish with his family and black in-law.
