Long simmering jealousies and secrets boil over during a poker game between four aging minority actresses living on the fringes of Hollywood, leading to conflict and murder.
SYNOPSIS:
When a body is discovered, detective Higgins suspects the erstwhile poker partners and friends of the victim. Mala, Rani, Lalita, and Emily were Hollywood actresses who did character roles but are now retired. There seems to be bitterness and anger among some of them towards the victim who was known to be promiscuous and indiscriminate in her choice of lovers. There is the maid Mary who had a history with both the victim and some of the suspects. There are also links to a procurement service whose tentacles reached Hollywood and even the neighborhood Church. The question is who hated the victim enough to murder her and was this a crime of passion or was it pre-planned.
