SYNOPSIS:
In the golden age of HOLLYWOOD in the 1940’s and at the height of the American Jazz movement, CENTRAL AVENUE takes you back in time when jazz Hollywood vendettas like Liz Scott, Lauren Bacall, and Ann Sheridan are having drinks in the Cabaret Club, waiting to see greats like Lady Day, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, and Dizzy Gillespie. Mickey Cohen enters the club with Bugsy Segal and his girl Virginia Hill, and The Cabaret Club audience is in a trance as Billie Holiday wails out a soulful rendition of “Summertime”. The joints were jumpin until a white Hollywood starlet that frequents Central Avenue turns up dead.
