A Mother and her adult son go to therapy to work out past and current issues, he just wants a normal life she believes she is the Godmother of a crime family.

SYNOPSIS:

Henry has convinced his mother Beverly that they need to go to therapy to work out issues from his childhood and even ones still happening today. Growing up all he wanted was a normal childhood, which was pretty hard to do when his mother is the head of California's only Italian crime family, even though they aren't Italian. Each episode will focus on a present-day problem that also coincides with an issue from the past. In the pilot episode, we meet Henry, Beverly, and their new therapist. When Henry is telling the story of his childhood we are actually watching a younger version of himself and his mother and the issues they had. Each episode will focus on a specific problem such as Henry being afraid to tell his mother he is engaged because she used to cut the heads off of teddy bears to scare girlfriends away. Why Beverly is banned from Staples Center? What did she do with all of his concert tickets? Why does she keep threatening to "whack" a chef?
