Hey you lot,
I'm from the Netherlands and have never written a completed screenplay or a script in my life; although I have written short stories. I have played with the script concept a lot, and have read and studied several.
I want to take a serious stab at finishing one now; the time seems right for it. I have a great idea, which I'm pouring most of my free time in at the moment; yes, I have a day job. ;o) The world building process alone has me excited, as I'm designing my story and characters to inhabit that world. I've already had to let go of a major concept in that world, as it clashed with the reality I needed. A set-back that just makes me more creative, so I love it.
I joined here to see what resources are available, and whether this would turn into a good way to get a toe in the door; it'll be a while before I can use my foot. In the meantime I'll shamelessly use the moniker "screenwriter" on here, even though I'm just posing as one for now.
English is my second (strictly speaking third) language, which I hope is not a problem when writing for the English speaking world.
I think that's enough. Thank you for having me!
Cheers,
Ingo
