I am an aspiring screenwriter living in Detroit, Michigan. It would be beneficial to my development as a writer for me to join a screenwriter's group, however, to my surprise, Metro Detroit doesn't seem to have any. There are writer's groups, but the ones that I have checked out seem to be for writing in general, which is all well and good, but screenwriting (in my opinion) has aspects unique to it and a writer's group dedicated to screenwriting would be enormously beneficial to not only me but any aspiring scriptwriter in the Motown area. I'm trying to gauge interest in starting such a group. Thanks.
