A successful Haitian-American doctor grapples with his son's sexuality, his own prejudices, and a dark secret from his past, leading to a tumultuous journey of self-discovery and familial reconciliation

2. Careers and dreams are on the line when a son's gay lifestyle is discovered by a devout catholic dad, evoking other dark secrets that threaten the family's future.

SYNOPSIS:

Meet the Desrosiers, DR. RICHARD, his wife DEBBIE, their son BEN and daughter ALANA; a perfect family that will be disrupted when Dr. Richard caught his son in bed with a schoolmate, ANGEL. Dr. Richard is so bent on his son Ben continuing the family’s tradition of becoming a surgeon as well.

An enraged Dr. Richard assaults Ben and Angel, which landed him in jail for a short time. After he is released, the family has to deal with their day-to day-stress living together. After much continued verbal insult from his dad, Ben decides to move out of the house to go live with his grandmother, SUSAN. Shortly, thereafter, Debbie decides to join Ben, by moving out to her Mother's as well.

To add injury to insult, Dr. Richard also faces being suspended from his work for his arrest record. Richard seeks therapy to deal with his downfall. One day he shows up at Susan. He apologizes to his family and tells them his transgression stems from being molested and abused sexually as a child. Richard vows to do anything in order to preserve his family. A forgiving Debbie moves back with Richard, along with the kids.

The family is happy again, until a woman (ERICA) and her son (NOAGH) show up at their doorsteps. Erica, an ex-fling of Dr. Richard, and Noagh is the product of their affair. Surprisingly, Dr. Richard had given a large sum of money to his brother SERGE (a slacker who leans on Richard for help), to give to Erica to disappear. But Serge instead, pocketed the money and thought he had killed Erica on a botch attempt.
