How to raise financing for a small indie project

I am looking to produce a small indie project in the Bay Area. The budget is around $50K but I'm looking to finance a portion of the budget about $5k min $10k max. I have a very limited time frame about Mid-September and How can I find ways to finance the project without crowd funding in a small amount of time?

Hey Danny, don't know how quickly this suggestion will help but I recently came across Crush Path. A platform to pitch and market anything all in one go. It's the perfect platform for finding investor...

Fastest Writing Time

I don't know if this has been asked before, but what is the shortest amount of time you've spent writing a "First Draft" of a screenplay? I ask because I recently just completed a 90 page script in a day and a half. Of course it needs re-writing, but still. Something must be wrong with me :/

Max Boyce

I've written 6000-7000 words for a finall draft short story in a day... one long friggin day of 15 hours and it translated to only 25-30 pages. SO, considering the formatting in a screen play, you mig...

My best is 7 days for a first draft.

You must be JERRY MAGUIRE writing that manifest! Very impressive but it's the rewrite that will factor your script. Other than that you got talent! Keep yourself productive.

Marvin Willson

When you get to the level of screenwriting on assignment, 60/90 days with additional 30 days for re-writes is the norm (not withstanding, those gigs that need faster turnarounds). If you are an unknow...

Looking for work as a Production Assistant

I would like to know if there's any movie production that needs a production assistant for their project. I'm a hard worker who will do whatever it takes to to learn hands on what it would be like to be part of a movie production. Some experience does go a long way.

hi Danny , you did n't mention geographical limit of job search , movie kind etc .. would you go for any thing any where ?

Danny Jaye Rubio

San Francisco, LA or New York. Give or take, Thanks for giving an answer to my question earlier.

Rik Carter

May I suggest you look locally? While I'm sure you are willing to go anywhere prodCo's hire PA's locally. They pay almost nothing so they are looking for people who live in the area they are shooting....

Try Simply Scripts too. It has a lot of ok ones and few pretty good ones in between. Takes a lot of time tho to look thru them.
