By Duff MacDonald

GENRE: Historical, Drama
LOGLINE:

The birth of the undeveloped nation of Canada brings with it a community of adversarial immigrants who must adapt and unify in order to battle against the unearthly spirits of this haunted native land.

Based on true events.

SYNOPSIS:

This epic, haunting one-hour dramatic thriller takes place in the small eastern port village of Elizabethtown. A booming and bustling centre for trade and commerce in the Western Hemisphere. The “Venice of the North” for many wealthy Americans. The influx of immigrants clash with the locals and indigenous people while they all struggle to gain their place in this new found land.

Steam boats pour into the harbour on the mighty St. Lawrence River, the Grand Trunk Railway bullets through the town centre as valuable imports and goods roll in from all over the world. Crime is rampant. Alcohol is obtainable. Prostitution is accessible. Ancient spirits loom. The Church is domineering and The Dominion has their first Prime Minister: John A. Macdonald with a newly governing body. Rules are being made. Laws are being laid and borders are being drawn but not without controversy and conflict. Along with all of this new found wealth and industry, comes the struggle for power to dominate the region.
