A young attorney at a Miami law firm forms a dangerous alliance with the head of a Haitian drug organization when her fate at the firm becomes uncertain.
SYNOPSIS:
A Law Unto Themselves tells the origin story of a good girl, gone bad. Ava is a rising-star and young attorney. Her extreme brilliance and ambition sets her up on the partnership track. But, when the firm undergoes a merger, her fate becomes uncertain. To save her career, she forges an alliance with her newest client - the head of a Haitian drug organization.
As Ava’s relationship with her new client develops, she becomes more and more engulfed in his world. As the days, weeks, months go by, trying to hide her relations with her unscrupulous client from her family, her co-workers (and the omnipresent eyes of the law) becomes harder and harder. We’re on the journey as Ava is forced to decide which side of the law she wants to stand on.
