In a reluctant twist of fate, a seasoned Private Investigator is thrust into a gripping murder case, compelling her to confront the ghosts of her past in the one place she vowed never to return. Fuelled by her vivid imagination and haunted by sour memories, she must navigate a treacherous landscape of deception and danger to uncover the truth, before it consumes her completely.

The day when Yohana, a merciless Private Investigator who also loves to paint, receives her first exhibition project is the day she assumes nothing can go wrong. Since the time she was thrown out from Los Angeles, Yohana has been resolutely fighting criminals and colours in Palo Alto, with her friends Zuri and Ayden. Yohana also has a secret. A secret that is kept safe in an ancient Purple Diary, she obsessively carries with her in her shrug pocket.

Having denied a murder case two times in a row, she reluctantly accepts the third time, that takes her back to the streets of Los Angeles, where she helps a teenage Michelle, get justice for her murdered Mother. As the investigation proceeds, Yohana notices all is not what it seems, and she questions everyone. But it is not until she meets her mother Sophia and her stepbrother Kyle, that things really begin to go south for her. Juggling between solving the murder case and making peace with her former life, not to mention the mind-numbing task of getting a painting ready for the exhibition in time, leaves Yohana weary for good. And if that wasn’t enough, just when Yohana believes she has the killer at arm’s reach, Michelle gets kidnapped, leaving her conquered.

As Yohana faces this lofty situation, she remains trapped in her imaginative mind with questions she is unwilling to find the answers to. She has to let go of the burden of her past and the only way that is going to happen, is when her ancient Purple Diary gets destroyed. For good.

Why YOHANA's WORLD? (260 Words - 1 Minute 6 Seconds RT)

The best way for me to begin is to tell you how and why I came up with this Story. I have always been able to imagine vividly. Be it a thing or a person, an event or a possibility. I consider it a blessing to be true, but sometimes it takes a toll over me, as I get carried away, detaching myself from reality. So, I started thinking, What if...Imagination is the root cause in disrupting the life of a character, whose prime career demands her to be strictly in reality.

And that’s exactly what happens in Yohana’s World.

Yohana, a Private Investigator is vividly imaginative. If she is not catching a criminal, you would find her painting her next masterpiece. But it is not until she receives a murder case that takes her back to her hometown, does Imagination really starts to go against her.

Now, Yohana must catch the killer before Michelle, the victim’s daughter is butchered too. And the only way Yohana can do that is by putting a restraining order on her over-the-roof imagination because if she doesn’t, then she would lose Michelle to Death.

Yohana’s World is ultimately a tug-of-war tale of imagination and reality, where Yohana must recognize the thread that psychologically blurs both the phenomenon and rescue a girl who considers Yohana to be her only hope.

Humans are the only species who have a developed intelligence, the ability to imagine and reason. With Yohana’s World, my aim is to impart the message of balance.
