The Uniform is about a soon-to-be retired police officer, who has been on the job for 30 years. He is a widow with three daughters; he is currently involved with a woman who is a Hospital Director. She has one son, an 18-year-old who is running a bit rough. She has been divorced from her husband of 25 years for two years by the story’s timeline. During a routine stop, the cop is involved in a near-fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy.
