This proof of concept was created in 2020 when I first began toying with the idea of presenting this as an animated show. Since then, the designs, FX animation and backgrounds have all been refined as we go deeper into the production of the show.

I wrote/produced/acted in this trailer to my 14-minute short film, Daffodil. A modern adaptation of the Greek myth, Narcissus, it's about a shrink with a personality disorder who takes his therapy to the streets. I'd decided to adapt my full-length feature script into a short film so I can see it come alive! I'd love to hear your opinions on the trailer. :)

On his 16th birthday, Dr. Apples®’ mother was kidnapped by fairies and replaced with a doll. Each year, on his birthday, Dr. Apples® receives a doll which has his mother's essence.

Back in the 1990s I worked almost exclusively on Hawaiian language projects. The project was supposed to be a 45 minute movie and as we got deeper into it we decided to expand it to a feature. It won the 2000 Hawaii Filmmaker Award at HIFF and screened around the world.
