Happy Haunting Season Stage 32!

With Halloween just around the corner and pumpkin flavored everything on the shelves of Trader Joe's I saw it fit to bring you Coffee & Content: Halloween edition. Today's content is jam-packed with tips and tricks for taking your horror projects to the next level. Grab your piping hot PSL (or some black coffee) and let's dive in.

First up, the editing wizards over at Cinecom.net have curated a quick and easy guide to three haunting visual and practical effects. To objects seemingly moving on their own to ghostly apparitions and unwelcome spirits, this video gives you surprisingly simple tips to creative horror imagery in your next film. Additionally, this videos dives into some of the psychology behind what makes certain things "scary".

Next up, The Closer Look has put together a video essay on how to terrify your audience. This video looks at everything from dialogue to shot composition and how the marriage of all these elements create a masterful horror or thriller film. This video uses the 1991 classic The Silence of the Lambs to illustrate how to master the art of terrifying your audience.
