To say we just started our writing careers would be an understatement. Before Carol and I met, we were both heavily involved in our separate writing careers; Carol as an Artist Development coach and founder of The ArtEstate, a boutique marketing firm and myself as a professional Chef and International Food & Beverage Consultant. Carol recently signed a publishing deal on her second book.
Although I had never completed any screenwriting, Carol encouraged me to write my stories and follow my passions for the film making industry. Over the last five years or so, I’ve completed several W.G.A. West registered screenplays, co-wrote a Political Thriller manuscript, and I’m currently working on a five-generational franchise story that will go under development with another entertainment firm in Hollywood.
I was encouraged by a friend to check out Stage 32 and told they would help get our stories in front of the people looking for fresh content. The network of professionals, educators, and mentors on Stage 32, have helped me learn so much more than I ever imagined about the industry.

Timothy Ramirez and his Wife Carol Frazier
After surviving a real-life drama (or should say ‘trauma’) of our own, Carol and I knew we’d have to tell this story in a movie one day. We knew we had the makings of a high concept film, so we wrote the story as a means of healing from our experience and making it a social cause to get the thing done.
We were coached to do some major legwork if we truly believed in the story, so we hired Keith Payson & Associates, a veteran Line-Producer from Hollywood to help write and complete a Top Sheet Budget complete with shoot schedules, Location shot itineraries and some preliminary forecasting of box office performance by successful Comps to our film. The prework paid off and we began to get a fair amount of attention to the project.
Most recently, we were pitching our True Crime Dark Comedy on Stage 32, and after several Producers expressed interest in the high concept story, we’re happy to announce that we’ve signed with Tiffany Boyle of Ramo Law to Rep our project. We’re so thankful to all the team at Stage 32 that made it all happen and are excited to be working on the Packaging and Development with Tiffany and Ramo Law.
Our best advice to everyone writing and pitching is never stop, listen to the expert’s feedback, and take action on the direction given. But if you’ve got a story you can’t go a day without thinking about, dig in for the long run. Patience is your best friend. The screenplay is just a sketch, and the re-writes are almost never done.
