Greetings from the Cannes Film Festival! Deep in the planning for our panels, parties and meetups, not to mention a full slate of meetings on the agenda, so no big opening this week. But, fear not! I’ve still collected a wide and varied list of news and information for you to enjoy this weekend.

Let's Celebrate You! Hey there, my Stage 32 fam! I have some very exciting news for you all today. You know, I say this all the time, but we are so lucky to have this incredible platform. I know for many of us, it has jumpstarted our careers and totally transformed our lives. We have immediate access to a world of opportunities at our fingertips, as well as this amazingly supportive community to keep us going forward. Tribeca Film Festival: A Conversation with Acclaimed Writer/Director Andrea Arnold - At the Tribeca Talks series at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival, filmmaker Ira Sachs ("Love is Strange") interviewed U.K. writer and director Andrea Arnold whose short film, Wasp, earned an Academy Award. She also received two BAFTA awards and two jury prizes at Cannes, as well as a multitude of festival accolades for her films, "Milk," "Dog," "Red Road," "Fish Tank" and "Wuthering Heights." On television she has directed two episodes of "Transparent." Arnold's latest film, "American Honey" starring Shia LaBeouf and Riley Keough (recently acquired by A24) about a crew of teens who sell magazines across the Midwest is her first to be filmed in the U.S. "American Honey" is one of just three films from female directors in the 2016 Cannes Film Festival’s main competition and one of two from the U.K.about writing, filmmaking, and surrendering. Stage 32 Recognized as a Leader in the Convergence of Entertainment and Tech at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival - It is with great honor that I announce today that Stage 32 has been invited back by the Cannes Film Festival Marché du Film NEXT Pavilion. The NEXT program will feature presentations from game-changers of future cinema such as Netflix and Indiegogo. We will be presenting the opening day panel for the Marché and have a variety of events lined up throughout the festival. See what's in store here!
