Happy Sunday, Creative Army!
Have you had a creative weekend so far? I have some content here for you that is sure to get the creative juices flowing, so grab your coffee, and let's dive in.
First up, in this video by animator and artist Kuzillon, she’s sharing invaluable tips for approaching new works of art as a creative. While this video is likely to hit home for the animators, VFX artists, and storyboard artists in our community, her suggestions for challenging your creativity with story prompts and being mindful of planning ahead, considering tone, seeking out research/references, playing with composition, and trying more than one version of your idea to discover what works best is completely applicable to writing, filmmaking, composing, cinematography, etc. It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed when you’re starting a new project, but these tips can help you think outside the box to refine your ideas and source inspiration that can elevate your art regardless of the medium.
It’s when we challenge ourselves to look at things from a different perspective, think outside the box, and learn new skills that we grow as artists and our art grows with us! That’s why education is so important to me and integral to our mission here at Stage 32. Self-learning is a gift. Learn more in this video!
