New Feature: Stage 32 Writers Are Now Spotlighted With Unique Badges!

Today, I'm excited to share some fantastic updates that we've recently implemented on the Stage 32 platform, to help our hardworking writers stand out with unique profile badges!

The Double Recommend & Writer’s Room Badges

Moving forward, any Stage 32 writers who are subscribed to the Writer’s Room or have received a “Double Recommend” in our system, will be spotlighted with a badge that automatically appears on their Stage 32 profile. The badge will be visible both on their direct profile page and beside that member’s name whenever they post or comment in the Stage 32 lounges.

What Is A Double Recommend?

This is an accolade for anyone who has submitted their screenplay to a Stage 32 executive for script coverage and the executive has provided a pass, consider, or recommend rating for both your script, as well as your writing ability.

If your script receives a “Double Recommend” from the reader, your script’s logline and your bio will be included in a Stage 32 industry lookbook which is sent to over 500 industry professionals every month!

You can be eligible for a Double Recommend by participating in the below Executive Coverage.

What Is the Stage 32 Lookbook?

Any writer who submits for written coverage and walks away with a ‘Double Recommend’ gets featured in the Stage 32 Double Recommend Lookbook, which is sent to over 500 industry professionals every month.

Previous lookbooks have resulted in requests from Sony Pictures Animation, 3 Arts, Lit Entertainment (THE TOMORROW WAR with Chris Pratt), Verve, Ramo Law, The Cartel, Untitled Entertainment, Circle of Confusion, Zero Gravity Management, Mind's Eye Entertainment, Marc Platt Productions (LA LA LAND), Black Bear Pictures (THE IMITATION GAME), Polaris Pictures (OBSESSION), Energy Entertainment and more!

The Double Recommend badge will help Stage 32 members whose writing has been recommended by a working industry professional, to stand out to other executives, representatives, and creators in the community at a glance!

Additionally, all Stage 32 Writer’s Room members now have a unique badge on their profile page that identifies them as part of the Writer’s Room community, to help you network and grow your connections.

Certification Badges

As many of you know, profile badges have already been used successfully on Stage 32 for participants of our Certification program! 

Once you've completed a certification course, your Stage 32 profile page is automatically updated with a "certification badge". This badge is visible on your profile, as well as your posts and comments, showcasing that you're certified and included on the Stage 32 commission database. For those of you who are actively looking for work and growing your resume, it will help you stand out and let those who are hiring for key positions identify you and your abilities quickly.

Stage 32 Certification courses are taught by highly experienced experts in their fields across the entertainment industry, including Paramount’s Director of Production Maegan Philmore, ViacomCBS Senior Production Finance Manager Shalonda Ware, former head of production at eOne and Carsey Warner Courtney Conte, the legal team at the prestigious Los Angeles-based entertainment firm Ramo Law, Wrapbook’s tax incentive expert Ryan Broussard, film producer and DGA member Korey Pollard and many more.
