Hi, Stage 32ers!

While you may have missed out on getting to attend Cannes in person, you certainly won’t miss out on the incredible insights that were shared there!

At this year’s Cannes 2023, Stage 32 hosted an insightful expert panel about finding the right material, putting together the right package, finding financing, and navigating a film’s release. With the Great Content Gold Rush that has occurred from streamers vying for original content, a producer’s job has become increasingly complicated and there are more opportunities and challenges than ever.

Moderated by Dave DeBorde (Award-Winning Filmmaker), our distinguished panelists Matthew Helderman (CEO, Bondit Media Capital), Kristin Harris (SVP Development and Production, Vertical Entertainment), Shaked Berenson (Producer), and Miranda Bailey (CEO, Cold Iron Pictures) had an in-depth conversation about what it’s like to produce a film today.

Keep in mind, this panel took place before the current strikes and the DGA negotiations. We encourage you to read the trades like Deadline, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, The Wrap, or SCREEN to get the most up-to-date reporting on the strike negotiations.

Enjoy this final Cannes panel directly from your screen of choice by watching the video below!

If you missed any of our previous Cannes updates, don't worry, you can still see them!
