Happy Wednesday, Creative Army!
There are moments in this business when everything changes.
Today is one of those moments.
With the recent announcement that Coverfly is shutting down on August 1st, and after their prior closure of Industry Arts platforms, we knew thousands of screenwriters around the world were going to be left without a clear path to discover contests, get professional feedback, and get discovered.
So we stepped up.
As announced on Deadline, I’m incredibly proud to share that Stage 32 is now the official home of the new Global Screenwriting Contest Hub: a centralized destination where screenwriters can submit to the world’s most trusted and career-launching contests! With over 1.3 million members in the Stage 32 community and over 250,000 screenwriters in our community, there is no better place than Stage 32 for screenwriters online.
This is more than a replacement. It’s a reimagination. We are stepping in as the new premier destination for screenwriters to submit to top-tier screenwriting competitions from around the world. The Stage 32 Global Screenwriting Contest Hub brings together an impressive lineup of prestigious contests, including the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival Screenplay Contest, BAFTA-qualifying Manchester Film Festival Screenplay Contest, PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, Vail Film Festival Screenplay Awards, Big Apple Film Festival Feature Screenplay Competition, Santa Barbara International Screenplay Awards, Filmmatic, and Palm Springs Diversity Screenplay Contest, among others. Dozens more contests from across the globe have committed to hosting their contests on Stage 32’s Global Screenwriting Contest Hub.
We’ve built a better, more transparent, and community-first experience for writers across the globe, and we’re just getting started.
We are stepping in as the new premier destination for screenwriters to submit to top-tier screenwriting competitions from around the world...

To oversee the platform we have hired 3 former high ranking members of the Coverfly team who were instrumental in building out that platform:
These guys know contests and script resources. They know what works, what doesn’t, and how to build a system that’s transparent, fair, and focused on what truly matters: helping writers break in.
Most importantly, they believe in the Stage 32 mission and are passionate about helping our members succeed at the highest possible level.
This isn’t just a submission portal, it’s a career discovery tool.
With the Stage 32 Global Screenwriting Contest Hub, you have one powerful destination to find, filter, and submit to the most respected and vetted competitions in the industry. Everything you need is now in one place. No more chasing scattered deadlines or wondering which contests are legit. We’ve streamlined the process so you can focus on what matters most: getting your work seen.
When you do submit, you’re not sending your work into the void. Judges have direct access to view your Stage 32 profile page with your loglines, bios, scripts, and accolades, so even if you’re not a finalist this time, you’re still putting yourself in front of decision-makers who are actively looking for new voices. That visibility helps you build momentum, grow your reputation, and get discovered.
You’re finally in front of the right people, and that’s where breakthroughs begin.
Whether you’re submitting your very first script or film or are a seasoned creator looking for your next big break, the Stage 32 Global Screenwriting Contest Hub is here to help you get discovered by the people who can actually move your career forward.
We’re honored to serve as the new global home for contests that matter—and we’re committed to helping writers around the world succeed, one story at a time.
Keep an eye out for even more contests launching weekly. You’ll be able to browse all participating competitions, view deadlines, and start submitting now!

At Stage 32, we’ve always believed in removing barriers and making this industry more accessible. For the last 14 years, our Marketplace has helped thousands of film and TV creatives get discovered. We’ve matched writers with producers, managers, agents, and development execs, and we’ve seen careers take off time and time again.
But the contest landscape has long been cluttered with options that don’t always deliver. As a WGA screenwriter myself, I know how hard it is to separate the valuable from the vague. That’s why this hub is focused on one thing: quality. You’ll only find contests that truly matter; contests with credibility, reach, and real opportunity.

And that’s just the beginning. Dozens more are already in the pipeline!
This is your time.
This is your platform.
This is where careers are made.
