LOGLINE HELP DAY: Romantic Comedy Edition!

Hey friends! Today we’re doing a Romantic Comedy logline help day. So if you have a logline for a Rom Com script you’re working on, post it below in the comment thread! Myself (Pat A. - Writer Liaison) and members of the community will be pitching in to give you a hand on punching it up and making it as great as it can be!

We’re just doing Rom Com today, so please keep it to the genre, but it can be anything romantic or comedic. So let’s break out the meet cutes and get into it. We’re here for it all and here to help!

Once you’ve got your Rom Com feature script logline punched up, drop us a dime at success@stage32.com and we’ll hook you up with 25% off your entry to the 4th Annual Romantic Comedy contest going on right now!

Looking forward to laughing until we cry today! Bring ‘em on!

This is amazing Pat Alexander and I am excited to see the logline screenwriters will share :)) It’s an amazing contest! Congratulations for doing this!

Hi Sandra. Must give you something pretty to look at then - absolute logline perfection.

A playboy who can’t handle spicy food gets two days to convince his dream girl that he’s Mr. Right when they visit her parents in Mexico.

Maurice Vaughan

Sounds like a fun story, Wal Friman. I like your logline, but I think the stakes are vague. What happens if he doesn't convince her that he’s Mr. Right?

Wal Friman

In romance this is the death sentence. A life long misery. He'd never get the one girl in the world that he truly loves.

Hi Wal Friman, thank you for sharing :)) I like the logline, but I feel the same that Maurice Vaughan . I would love to see a more intriguing obstacle for Mr. Right if he doesn’t convince her! A obstacle that can strengthen our bond! I like the concept and seems funny :) Go for it!

Hey Wal Friman try this one: When an American playboy who hates spicy food travels down to Mexico with his dream girl, he discovers habanero peppers are nothing compared to trying to impress her traditional family.

Wal Friman

As clever ideas, as to be expected from this gang.
