SIMPLY CONSISTENT MISSION: TO SAVE AMERICA'S CHILDREN An epidemic of obesity is threatening our nation's children. Einstein was quoted as saying, "Imagination is more important than knowledge." However, when we examine traditional teaching ideologies we witness a lack of enthusiasm to promote imaginative thinking in students. When students approach problems using different perspectives they are generally dissuaded from doing so and placed back on the standard or "acceptable" path of problem resolution. This ideology is not only detrimental to students but to educators as well. While formal methods of problem solving and learning will always be recognized as valuable due to the proven results that have occurred in the past, room needs to be made to allow our children and educational establishment to grow and move in new directions.
