Hello, my name is Derrick Mullins and I'm a cancer survivor, moreover a life survivor. I wrote "The Warrior" to tell my story from my perspective as a child going through A.L.L. Making this film is not only a way to tell my truth but to honor everyone that allowed me to, my mother GOD rest her soul, to my doctor who came in all business and later in front of a stadium of screaming hockey fans gave me a big hug. To my father who was in denial at first but became a huge supporter of mine even though he didn't always agree with some life choices. And lastly to all the mothers and fathers that have had to go through this horrific disease as a parent or as a patient.
