Hi, folks! Just sharing some happy news: my published Western novel O'MEARA'S GOLD won the trophy for Best Western Action/Adventure Manuscript at the Wild Bunch Film Festival last night. Although they call the category "manuscript," it's open to published and unpublished works. (And don't ask me why a film festival gives awards for novels; I'm just glad they do.) I wasn't present at the ceremony, so all I have is a photo of the trophy in its bag--should get it in a week or two. The book is the first of a Western trilogy, published by Wolfpack Publishing.
Anybody want to make a Western movie based on an award-winning novel?

Thank you, Tracy Richardson Talent Agent! I'll keep you in mind! I see you worked with Eric Red. I worked with him on a comic book he wrote, many years ago.

Congratulations, Jeffrey J. Mariotte ! That's a great festival and Brenda and Rock are amazing! I was there last year, missed it this time because the strike stopped post prod recording voiceover ( the film is animation) Last, but not least, I discovered Arizona last year and was back again last month because it is beautiful!

Elena Maro, we're only about 90 minutes from Tucson, but my wife and I were both a bit under the weather so we cancelled our plans at the last minute. Brenda and Rock were very understanding (even though they knew at the time that I had won, and I didn't), but I wish we could've been there. You're right, Arizona is loaded with natural beauty. California ain't bad, either, but sometimes all the people get in the way. P.S. please let me know when your film is finished and released! I know lots of folks in animation, and would love to support it!

Yeah , he is a genius, taught me a lot about writing contracts as a producer. Once in a lifetime opportunity and would love to work with him again.

Thank you Jeffrey J. Mariotte for your kind support! Maybe I we will all meet one day at a festival in Arizona ... I heard Sedona has a great film fest, too, not to mention the natural beauty again ;)
