Trailer for my new film

I wanted to hopefully get some honest feedback from all creatives. I am a very big fan of trailers that do not give away any story, but are visually interesting

Maurice Vaughan

I like the trailer, Neil Watson. It shows enough to make me interested in watching the movie without giving too much away.

Asmaa Jamil

I liked the trailer and agree with Maurice. I wonder though if some critical dialogue with lift it more. Just my thought because I liked it.

Maurice Vaughan

I like that suggestion, Asmaa Jamil.

Billy Kwack

Hi Neil, looks good

David Abrookin

Love the visual style!

Emily J

Congrats! This looks awesome!

Doug Nelson

It's well produced, interesting and visually strong. But as a marketing tool, it has no legs - just my opinion.

Johnny Berihu Tsige

You have the style of Terence Malik as a director. Great visual style. All good but the soundtrack... you could have chosen better

Leonardo Ramirez

Visually, it looks stunning. I'm wondering about the setting and/ or a struggle so perhaps a hint to that effect might help. Great job!

Mark Garbett

Dreamlike quality to the trailer, visually compelling. Would have potentially liked to see more of an element of danger/external conflict in their journey (though that is probably not your intent), but overall I was impressed.

Stephen Folker

Great job getting a trailer done! I know how much work it can be! Take it with a grain of salt, in my humble opinion, the music does not fit the shots. Also, trailers with no sound design or audible audio don't help. When you watch a movie preview, all of them bank on great sound design and speaking. But many indie filmmakers do with out this, and while it seems more of an artistic choice, your viewers are not all artsy people. Rather people who want to decide if they wish to watch your film or not. Also, the color looks like it's still in log mode.

On a positive note, the shots are nice and you had some awesome scenery to work with! Best wishes!

Dustin Richardson

It looks cool, Neil Watson! I like the location. It makes the orange clothes really pop.

I appreciate all of the feedback on here!! Thank you to all for taking a moment to watch the tailer and being honest... The film itself is almost finished on the editing side and will go to color and mixing soon. Hope to show it here and other festivals soon!

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Neil Watson. Looking forward to checking out NOT TODAY, NOT TOMORROW! Hope it does great in the festivals!
