Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew or could assist with writing my synopsis? I am still pretty green to all of this. I have written my log-line which needs a minor tweak from the feedback I received. I have started the synopsis but still finding it tricky to build off of the start, format, phrasing etc.
I understand the writers room is available as well but $ so maybe I will use that but, I am open to suggestions.
Thank you.

I am willing to help in any way I can. I am also new to this, but I am in school for screenwriting and have had some excellent feedback from instructors and access to the books, which have helped me with log lines and synopses for what I have been writing.

Focus on your characters. That’s your real story. The synopsis can come later. Once you have them really fleshed out then work on a beat sheet. Then an outline. Then a synopsis at the end when you’re satisfied with your story. Just my advice.
Hello, I can help you. Share your initial idea or theme, and I will assist you.

I like loglines. My suggestion is that you show that here first. Fixing that'll make the synopsis part so much easy breezy.

Stage 32 has a webinar on writing a synopsis, Aaron Traikovski. "How to Write a One to Two Page Synopsis for Your Feature Film" www.stage32.com/education/products/how-to-write-a-one-two-page-synopsis-...
I focus on the major characters, important events, relationships, and twists in a synopsis. I mention the B Story and Subplot(s), but the main focus is the A Story. I also make two synopses (short synopsis and full synopsis). The short synopsis is about 5-6 sentences, and the full synopsis is 1 page to 1 and a half pages.

Run the script through the free Chat GPT with a request for a synopsis then edit to pump up the output. A suggestion to ask for a few of various lengths - one page, two pages, five pages..

I agree with the comments about focusing on character and telling the story through them. Audiences get attached to characters, not events, so if you tell your story through the lens of "its about a character who..." you will tell your story in a way that delivers the plot as well as why an audience will care if the characters succeed or fail.

Write your synopsis as an epistolary short story. This will make it easier for others to read it. It will also be easy for others to guess where there are gaps in your story. Gaps which you want help with. Epistolary short stories take little time to read, so it will be easy to find people willing to read. If you don't understand how I mean, I can post a pedagogical example.
